35 Years of Trust and Proven Performance, Now for the World
Born in Japan in 1990, the LMD series has earned unwavering trust across numerous sites for over 35 years through its robust structure, stable performance, and the precision quality control synonymous with Japanese manufacturing. Building on this history and technical expertise, the LMD series now takes a new step into the global market with the overseas-specific model “LMD-600”. The LMD-600 detects oil films and issues alerts in diverse environments such as drainage channels, drainage pits, oil-water separators, and water intake points at purification plants.
Developed as a true global standard, it retains the highly acclaimed detection performance and advanced functionality of the domestic model (LMD-3000) while enhancing ease of use and maintenance (maintenance-free design). It ensures reliable operation even in overseas markets with strict environmental regulations.
Bringing the pride of “Made in Japan” to the world.
The LMD-600 detects even the slightest oil film, enabling early response to potential oil spills. It significantly contributes to preventing oil discharge accidents into rivers and oceans, serving as the “last line of defense” for environmental conservation efforts and reliably monitoring sites.
Experience the LMD-600, where 35 years of trusted performance meets cutting-edge technology—now available for use on job sites worldwide.
Salient features
1. An entry model with limited functionality and detection capabilities equivalent to higher-end models
The LMD-600 employs a vibration mirror scanning method that traces lines with laser light. It continuously projects laser light onto the water surface. Its structure ensures reliable detection by always receiving reflected light, even in the presence of waves. Furthermore, it covers distances from 0.3 to 2.0 meters without adjustment, flexibly adapting to water level fluctuations. It can detect leaks of various oil types (hydraulic oil, vegetable oil, heavy oil, kerosene, light oil, gasoline, etc.).

2. Robust heat-resistant design
Designed for use in tropical and subtropical regions, the operating ambient temperature specification is set to 60°C.
3. Compact & lightweight design
Advanced detection performance is packed into a slim enclosure measuring φ185 × 280H mm (tentative). The unit weighs approximately 6.0 kg (tentative), enabling smooth installation in confined spaces or at heights. This significantly reduces the burden of transport and installation, enhancing on-site flexibility.
4. Maintenance-free design
With no recommended replacement parts requiring periodic exchange, operating costs are significantly reduced. This design offers outstanding economic efficiency.
