製品詳細

Laser Type Oil Film Detector Apolarm™M

The Last Line of Defense - An elite oil film detection device that never misses surface anomalies
Since its debut as the LMD-1000 in 1990, the LMD series has evolved through the LMD-2000 and LMD-3000, building unwavering trust over 35 years in wastewater treatment and environmental conservation sites. Then, in April 2026, the latest model in the LMD series released.
Retaining the high functionality of previous models, it achieved further evolution through a design that thoroughly reexamined maintainability and operability, pursuing ease of on-site use. This device detects oil films forming on the water surface of drainage channels, drainage pits, oil-water separators, water intake points at purification plants, and other locations with high precision, immediately sounding an alarm when an abnormality is detected.
By detecting even the slightest oil film and enabling early response to oil leaks, it contributes to preventing oil spills into rivers and oceans. This laser-based oil film detection device, featuring the robustness and reliability synonymous with Japanese manufacturing, truly acts as the guardian of the site. It is the “last line of defense,” fulfilling its mission to protect the environment.

Salient features

1. High‑end model designed for long‑range applications (Detects 0.3m–4.0m)

2.Minimize false alarms

Accurate Alarm Determination Based on Oil Film Coverage Percentage

Alarms are triggered based on the percentage of the monitored water surface occupied by oil film (applies to still water surfaces less than 2 meters deep). This prevents false alarms caused by pre-existing oil films, iron bacteria, insects, fish, etc., enabling precise detection of oil spills only.

Further Reducing False Alarms with Continuous Detection Function

Equipped with a “Continuous Detection” function that only outputs an alarm if oil film detection persists for a set duration or longer. For example, if the continuous detection time is set to 10 seconds, the system will determine “No Oil” if the oil film disappears within 10 seconds, and “Oil Present” only if it persists for 10 seconds or longer. The time can be freely set between 1 and 999 seconds, allowing optimal operation according to the site environment and oil film conditions. This significantly reduces overly sensitive alarms triggered by oil appearing only for very short periods.

3.Easy installation, precise detection – No optical alignment required.

Conventional laser systems require precise adjustments during installation to ensure the laser beam is perfectly vertical relative to the water surface.
However, the LMD-3000N features an internal bell-shaped optical structure. This design allows the laser beam to maintain a vertical orientation even if the case is slightly tilted.

4.See everything at a glance – Large display

Featuring a large 4.9-inch color LCD for unparalleled visibility and improved operability with button controls.
Vibrant graphical displays let you accurately grasp monitoring status at a glance.

5.Compact & lightweight design

Compared to the previous model (φ185 × 547H mm, approx. 11 kg), the successor achieves significant downsizing and weight reduction to φ185 × 439H mm, approx. 8.5 kg.
* Compared to a competing product from Company A, it achieves approximately half the weight.

6.Minimize running costs (No parts replacement required for 10 years)

With no recommended replacement parts requiring periodic exchange, operating costs are significantly reduced. This design offers outstanding economic efficiency.
